A Bauhaus geometric composition is laid out on a white canvas using heavy black horizontal and vertical grid lines of varying thickness. The grid divides the canvas into rectangular sections of different proportions. Primary red fills the largest block at the lower right. Cobalt blue fills a narrow vertical section at the left. Pure yellow occupies a small square at the upper left corner. The remaining sections are white or deep black. The proportions are carefully unequal, no two rectangles the same, the tension between them producing the visual energy of the whole piece.
